Between Pont d’Ain (North) and Ambérieu en Bugey (South) on the Bugey road.
At the South Pont d’Ain exit, take left at the roundabout after the bridge above the Ain river, and follow the Saint-Jean-le-Vieux signs. When you get to the small train station with a big wall painting, take left and the entrance is about 50 metres further along on your left.
At the North Ambérieux exit, follow Ambronay, and then Saint-Jean-le-Vieux. After the village sign, at the first crossing, turn left in the direction of Pont d’Ain. The entrance is about 100 metres further away on your right.
Via the A42 between Lyon and Geneva/Strasbourg : if you’re coming from the North, take exit number 9 “Pont d’Ain”, and take right at the roundabout. Then, at the traffic light take right and cross the river Ain, and follow the directions above.
If you’re coming from the South, take exit number 8 “Ambérieu en Bugey”. At the roundabout, take left, and then at the “intermarché” supermaket roundabout (with a monumental jet fighter plane in the middle) take the third exit in the direction of Ambronay, Nantua, Saint-Jean-le-Vieux. Then follow the directions above.
From the Lyon Part-Dieu station, take the TER regional train to Ambérieu en Bugey (many trains, sometimes up to one every half hour). It takes about 20 minutes. Then you have to take a bus (they aren’t that many) or a taxi (it takes about 12 minutes by taxi).
At the Saint-Exupéry airport, ask for a train in the direction of Geneva, and then follow the instructions above. It takes about 35 to 40 minutes.

The Brou monastery church, built by Marguerite of Austria in honor of the love of her life, Philibert de Savoie, was voted the french’s favorite monument. It awaits you in the Summer, with some scintillating light and sound shows.
Our estate is classified as a LPO (the League for the Protection of Birds) refuge. You can enjoy watching and listening to the birds of the Bugey. Between the 15th of September and the 15th of October you can also enjoy another music : that of the Ambronay Baroque music festival.
